  2. Hello everyone! I am Juliana and I work at ETEC Zona Sul (São Paulo). This exchange is being so cool and interesting to my career. The classes are so dynamic and I am really enjoying it. Today we saw the Royal Family in class, it is so different from Brazil, unfortunately it´s not possible in my country, cause we don´t have a history like England and we exercised some pronunciation too. London is very similar to São Paulo, so I am not having so many problems with the underground or buses, it´s so nice! And I expect to improve my methodologies in class and my level. Thank you very much!

    1. I'm glad to hear you are settling in so well and enjoying your time in London, I'd love to hear other ways in which Sao Paulo and London are similar.

  3. To me your class about the Royal Family was very interesting because I didn't know much about them and how important it is here in England. I really enjoyed the film The Queen and I am also interested in knowing how the British people relate to them nowadays since there isma new generation coming up.

  4. I've noticed since I arrived here that people who live in London are grateful for everything the Queen has been doing all over the time. In my journey I met an Brazilian who lives here in London. She is so proud of living here and told me she doesn't mind paying high taxes, something rougly 30% of her salary, because of the benefits people receive in education, transport system and health. I believe when people are happy where they live and want to say it to anyone, people are satisfied and deserve our respect. I respect Britain persons.

    1. Yes, taxes are quite high here, the highest rates are obviously for those on high salaries: if you earn between £32,011 and £150,000 the rate is 40% and over £150,000 you pay 45%.
